Position Overview:
PEB invites applications for the position of Executive Director Designate, who will collaborate with the current Executive Director during a planned leadership transition. This transitional role is designed to ensure continuity, knowledge transfer, and alignment with the vision and mission of the organization. The Designate will assume full responsibilities as Executive Director upon the conclusion of the transition period.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Strategic Planning
- Participate in strategic planning processes with the Board and senior leadership.
- Learn and understand the operational framework, priorities, and partnerships of PEB.
- Prepare to lead the organization in accordance with its mission and future goals.
2. Transition Collaboration
- Work closely with the current Executive Director to understand key operational, financial, academic, and donor-related functions.
- Build relationships with internal staff, school heads, church partners, and external stakeholders.
- Gradually assume increasing responsibilities to ensure a smooth leadership handover.
3. Organizational Oversight (Post-transition)
- Provide executive leadership to PEB’s educational institutions, programs, and initiatives.
- Guide strategic decision-making, policy development, and program implementation.
- Represent PEB in national and international forums and partnerships.
4. Financial & Donor Management
- Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting during the transition.
- Engage with local and international donors, church bodies, and grant agencies.
- Ensure transparency and sustainability of financial practices.
5. Educational Excellence & Values
- Promote high standards in academic performance and teacher development.
- Ensure that Christian values are reflected in the ethos and practices of PEB schools.
- Support inclusion, diversity, and equitable education across all programs.
